Students,
Teachers Lack Basic Cyber Security Education Says
Study
Less than 25 percent of educators feel comfortable
teaching students how to protect themselves from online cyber predators,
cyber bullies and identity theft, according to a recent study by The
National Cyber Security Alliance (NCSA) and Educational Technology,
Policy Research and Outreach (ETPRO).
At a time when children ages 10 to 14 spend more time on the Internet
than watching television, the study found that only the Commonwealth of
Virginia has education curriculum requirements that include information
on how students can protect themselves online.

Canadians May
Receive Enhanced License That Boosts Security Risks
This week, the Ontario legislature will resume debate
on Bill 85, proposed legislation that could lead to the creation of an
"enhanced driver's license" (EDL) in the province.
The introduction of the new license -- which will also be available as a
photo card for non-drivers -- has received little public attention
despite the urgent concerns expressed by privacy commissioners and civil
liberties groups. Indeed, barring an unlikely change of plans, the
legislation could be passed within a matter of days.

Cameras Could Be Useful For Taxis
At the dispatch center for TheCAB taxi company,
company watchmen know where their employees are at all times with the
trigger of a button. Through a GPS system, watchman George Guibalt,
chief dispatcher, can pinpoint an emergency within a block if the
driver’s GPS is on.
GPS went into TheCAB's cars in 2004. In 2006, after several violent
crimes against cabbies, the company asked drivers to consider buying
taxi cameras. Only a few of them have because of cost.

Sony. Megapixel cameras that aren’t afraid of the dark.
Some megapixel cameras are remarkably scared of the dark. Because their
high resolution comes at the cost of poor low light performance. To
compensate, some rely on slow shutter speeds—which produce severe
motion blur. Sony did better, carefully balancing megapixel resolution
with the super sensitivity of our ExwavePRO and Light Funneling.
Discover Sony megapixel cameras. Because crime never sleeps.
