Denver Airport Center Adopts National Incident Management System
To make tourism and business travel as safe as possible, hotels at Denver Airport Center will be the first in the nation to provide hotel safety using crisis response measures developed by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

Denver Airport Center, the new Denver power center located next to Denver International Airport, will train airport hotel staff in all aspects of the National Incident Management System (NIMS) and the Incident Command System (ICS).

U.S. 'Losing' Battle to Boost Online Security, Report Finds
President-Elect Barack Obama had been talking about the importance of cybersecurity and fighting dangerous computer viruses even before foreign hackers broke into his campaign computer network to steal information.

He will have his work cut out for him. A new report warns that the fight to secure the nation's cyberinfrastructure "is a battle we are losing."

Information Technology Coming To Health Care Industry
The resolution of privacy and security concerns might prompt more physicians nationwide to adopt electronic medical records, electronic prescribing and other forms of health care information technology, HHS Secretary Mike Leavitt said in an address to the Nationwide Health Information Network Forum, CQ HealthBeat reports.

In response to concerns about health care IT, Leavitt recommended that patients have access to their medical records to allow them to correct any errors. He also cited the need to limit the collection, use and disclosure of patient medical records and allow patients to determine who can view the information.
