VIRGIN CHARTER LAUNCHES SELF-BOOKING SYSTEM
General aviation forecasters might need to add a new growth category to future industry coverage - self-booking tools. Several new online marketplaces that match fliers with charter aircraft seats launched in 2007. Virgin Charter joined the mix last month. Championship Aviation of Chino, Calif., has signed with a new fuel partner, Chevron, enabling the FBO to offer the lowest rates in the area. The airport has a 7,000-foot runway, which can accommodate all types of business aircraft and has no noise restrictions, curfews or landing/parking fees along with overnight ramp service. Championship's FBO has such amenities as a lounge, conference room, WIFI access and complimentary crew car. "We also offer on-site full maintenance, as an FAA authorized repair station, as well as, oxygen, nitrogen, GPU, in-flight catering, hotel accommodations and rental cars," CEO Rhoda Kohl said.
