In conjunction with the introduction of Business Intelligence,
Avinode has launched Charter Indexes: measuring demand, availability and
pricing within the U.S. domestic and international charter markets. As
the authority on charter demand and pricing, the Avinode Charter Indexes
provide the industry at large with pertinent information and trend
indicators that allow followers to track where the market has been,
presently is and where it is heading in terms of supply, demand and
overall activity.

Jet Aviation has made a donation to Able Flight Inc., the national
non-profit organization that provides flight training scholarships to
people with a variety of disabilities. The award, which will fund
scholarships for 2010, was presented October 20 during NBAA to Charles
Stites, Executive Director of Able Flight. Robert Seidel, senior vice
president and general manager of Jet Aviation’s aircraft management
and charter division for The Americas and a member of the Able Flight
Advisory Board, made the presentation on behalf of Jet
Aviation.
Jet Aviation is a founding partner of Able Flight.
Since its establishment in 2006, the organization has awarded 25 flight
training scholarships. In 2006 and 2008, Able Flight was recognized with
grants from the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation to further its
programs. Jet Aviation is one of Able Flight’s original corporate
sponsors and was the first company to have an Able Flight scholarship in
its name.

AirplaneManager.com, a
web-based flight scheduling and management solution created by
CharterMatrix Web Group, has launched the latest version of its aircraft
scheduling and management solution. This launch represents two years of
work on the core product and includes upgrade enhancements, such as a
TSA no-fly auto-search and a fuel-finder quoting tool.
With this
latest feature expansion, users can quickly compare a flight’s
passenger list in AirplaneManager.com against the
most current TSA no-fly list at any point in the scheduling process. AirplaneManager.com also offers a
new fuel-finder tool that searches a database of contract fuel providers
and FBOs for requested departing and arriving airports. This allows
users to contact any vendor at the destination airfield and request fuel
pricing quotes.
