The first day was plagued by heavy rain and traffic jams at Le Bourget's entrances, to say nothing of the global economic downturn that has dragged on airlines' and OEMs' bottom lines. Before the event even started, Airbus hinted that production cuts in 2010 and 2011 may be necessary and carriers signaled that the traditional big air show orders would not be forthcoming. [MORE]
