And don’t forget: AMERICAN PRINTER's Environmental Excellence Awards will be honored at a special ceremony on Sept. 11, 2009, at PRINT 09. We will be in the new GreenSpace area and are looking forward to congratulating our 2009 honorees!

Many thanks to NAPL and sponsors Kodak, Agfa, HP, manroland, Presstek and Mohawk.

As always, thanks for reading!

What's New

Economical web-to-print solution
Aleyant Systems is launching Pressero, a turnkey web-to-print solution that allows printers to provide their customers with a set of branded online tools for placing and managing orders. It’s offered as a hosted model: $995 for the basic system, with an ongoing maintenance fee of $295 per month. System add-ons include custom interfaces and integration with workflow and other business systems. Adobe PDF Job Ready, an easy-to-use file/print solution for ad hoc work, can be added for a nominal fee.

Pressero includes eDocBuilder, an easy-to-use, template based variable data application that allows customers to quickly and easily customize, proof, and approve variable data documents, including business cards, brochures and more, directly from a web browser, sending an imposed press-ready PDF file to the print service provider when the order is placed.
See www.pressero.com.

Does your company remind you of “The Office”?
Richards Graphic Communications is a one of our many fine Chicago area printers. The company serves association, financial, healthcare, legal, manufacturing, non-profit, packaging, sports, technology and textile markets.

Someone at Richards is obviously a huge fan of “The Office.” This clever video gently parodies the opening credits of the popular television show while introducing Richards’ staff. Nicely done! See bit.ly/hA5dL.
