From the Pressroom...

Death and estate taxes plague small business owners
According to NPES, under current law enacted in 2001, the Estate Tax is scheduled to be repealed completely in 2010. But it will then be reinstated in 2011 at its pre-Bush Administration level of 55 percent with an exemption of only $675,000, unless Congress and the President take action.

NPES is teaming with other small business advocates to call for a $3.5 million exemption as well as the permanent reduction of the Estate Tax rate. For more information, contact Mark J. Nuzzaco, NPES government affairs director via www.npes.org.

The Wisotsky family and Imperial Lithographic (Phoenix) are featured in a recent video from the American Family Business Foundation. After the elder Wisotsky died of leukemia his family learned about their huge estate tax liabilities and subsequently sold the business. See estatetaxtruth.org.

As always, thanks for reading!
