    Close to home

Last week, we asked whether school administrators or other employees should be required to live within district boundaries. Here is some of your feedback:
    • "As a superintendent I did not live in either district where I worked," says one reader. "...In each district my wife and I were unable to find housing that we liked and were reluctant to build since superintendents are viewed as an expendable commodity based on the whims of the board."

This week, President Obama's plans to give a back-to-school address to students has raised concerns among some political opponents. Do you think it is appropriate for the President of the United States to give such a speech?

    A. Yes. As the leader of the nation, the president can motivate students to perform better through his advocacy of education.
    B. No. In the existing political climate, a presidential speech will only further polarize people.
    C. Other.

    What do you think?
