Hungry for
donations
Last week, we asked what readers thought about schools'
prohibiting fund-raising bake sales to encourage better nutrition
habits. Here is some of your feedback:
- "This makes no sense," says one reader. "Bake sale customers are
primarily parents and community members, not kids."

This week, students at the University of Kentucky and
landlords in Lexington are urging the Lexington-Fayette (Ky.) Urban
County Government not
to impose student housing density limits. A task force that looked
at the problems associated with "dense student housing" has suggested
such limits. Do you think it is wise for municipalities to enact
regulations that limit how many college students can live in a
particular neighborhood?
A. Yes. A municipal government should
take steps to preserve the long-term viability of its neighborhoods.
B. No. Limiting where college students can
live will make it less desirable for students to enroll at the
institution, which will ultimately harm the quality of life in the
municipality.
C. Other.
What do you think?
