As a first step, the recently minted Internet Media Device
Alliance has called a press conference on Sept. 6 at the IFA 2009
Consumer Electronics Exhibition in Berlin.
On Aug. 19 telecom regulators from Germany, Switzerland and
Austria got a closer look at DRM+ technology, thanks to a demonstration
hosted by the University of Hannover.

After a dismal first half of the year that saw subscriptions
slump and stock prices tumble, Sirius XM seems to be rekindling investor
interest with several new products designed to reposition the company as
a multi-platform premium content provider.
Although the chipsets are receiver front-end products, not
decoders, the certification process means that Toshiba's chips should
integrate readily with decoders and HD Radio technology from other
vendors.
