Health club membership in the United States jumped 10.8
percent to 50.2 million in 2010 from 45.3 million in 2009, according to

(IHRSA).

The Salvation Army celebrated the grand opening of its $115 million
Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center in Boston last week. The Boston
Kroc Center's fitness facilities include a gymnasium with two basketball
courts and a ropes course, an aquatic center with zero-entry recreation
pool, water play features and lap lanes, a cardio loft and group fitness
classroom. In addition to fitness training, the center will also offer
obesity prevention and nutrition education.
