JCC Slated to Open This Week
ST. LOUIS, MO -- The new Staenberg
Family Complex Jewish Community Center (JCC) is hosting its grand
opening on Sunday. The new facility nearly doubles the size of the
JCC’s original fitness center to 16,126 square feet. It features six
fitness studios, state-of-the-art exercise equipment, flat-screen TVs, a
spa with private massage rooms, a children’s fitness area and new
locker rooms with steam rooms, saunas, whirlpools and family changing
areas.
There also will be a new two-court basketball gym, new racquetball and
squash courts, an onsite restaurant and a new indoor aquatics center.
Wi-Fi also will be available throughout the entire JCC campus. The JCC
is inviting the community to try the facility out for free during the
week of May 10-17.
Pueblo YMCA
Completes First Phase of Construction
PUEBLO, CO -- An open house to celebrate completion of Phase I
construction of the $17 million YMCA Community Campus in Pueblo, CO, was
held April 18. The first phase consisted of a climbing and bouldering
wall and two large gymnasiums. Additionally, the new aquatic center
features three pools: a zero entry toddler pool with a pirate ship, a
warm-water therapy pool and an activity pool with two 150-foot water
slides, a rolling river and an instructional area with two 15-yard lap
swimming lanes.
The second and third phases of the new campus are slated for completion
in two or three years, depending on further funding. About $3 million of
the $7 million price tag for Phase II has been raised, and fundraising
for the final phase will continue through the ongoing construction of
the second phase.

sales in the first quarter of 2009, a 27 percent decrease compared to

the company’s recently released financials. Cybex also reported a net
loss for the first quarter of 2009 of $1.4 million compared to net
