16. Take Breaks. Every so often, taking a break does wonders for

A motivated and trained counter staff is one of the key principles
on which Aireco has built a 57-year legacy. However, the rapid pace
with which today’s HVACR industry is changing demands a structured and
advanced training vehicle. Dan Hinchman, president of Aireco, Laurel, MD
adopted HARDI ‘s Certified Counter Specialist (CCS) Program as a way
to offer counter personnel a formal, structured program that encourages
training and continued education with a focus on customer service
product knowledge, people skills and attitude.

The 1980's: A Changing Marketplace
The boom in commercial new construction in the first half of the decade
was unequaled in U.S. history, particularly office buildings,
hotel/motels, and shopping mall development -- whole cities sprang up
practically overnight. The boom ended as abruptly as it had started, and
the replacement market for HVACR equipment surpassed new construction
sales for the first time.

HVAC Comfortech, along with the Commercial HVACR Symposium and the
Engineering Green Buildings Conference & Expo (EGB), have joined
together to create the 1st annual HVACR Week, which will be held
September 21-26 at the Nashville Convention Center in Nashville,
Tennessee.
This new mega-event will cover the gamut of the HVACR industry under one
roof: from design to installation to maintenance and service.
HVACR Week 2009 brings together three events to create a single,
comprehensive industry expo. Residential and commercial HVACR
contractors will team with designing/specifying engineers to learn about
the latest trends in the industry and the best business improvement
tactics. Plus, the top manufacturers and industry suppliers will be on
hand to show off their latest products and services.

The difference between businesses that thrive and the ones that struggle

is knowing how to expand your resources, maximize your efforts and
inspire your team to consistently put great service into practice.
Robin Crow is a speaker, author, entrepreneur and one of the most
innovative guitarists in the world. With over 2,000 presentations to his

Horse Recording, sets the gold standard for customer service and
excellence in the recording industry and is home to Faith Hill, Neil

keep HVACR contractors up-to-date on the newest technologies,
applications and developments in business management and sales, as well
as the most pressing issues affecting the industry.
Produced and managed by Contracting Business, the Commercial HVACR
