It was a chilly morning at the Portland, OR World Trade Center
Plaza. The news was much hotter, as HVAC and plumbing contractors viewed
the debut of the Rheem HP-50 water pump water heater. The three-hour
workshop was part of a daylong “Pacific Northwest HP-50 Launch
Event” on October 28, held for the plumbing trade, regional electric
utilities, energy-efficiency organizations and local media.

International Comfort Products, LLC (ICP) recently honored eight
leading channel partners as distributors of the year for their
outstanding performance during the past year. Charlie Piranian, ICP
National Sales Manager, announced the awards for Arcoaire®,
Comfortmaker®, Heil®, and Tempstar® single- and multi-location
Distributors of the Year.

The Climate Talk Alliance was formed on November 12, during a launch
event in Phoenix, AZ. Charter members include Emerson Climate
Technologies, EWC Controls, Rheem, Watsco, Inc., Embedded Electronic
Design Solutions, and Microchip Technology, Inc.

Meeting/Owners’ Forum, Nov. 11-15 in Palm Springs, CA.Tops on the
