Reviewing the corn summaries
Corn & Soybean Digest magazine, with sponsorship from Bayer CropScience, is bringing you the regional summaries of the final corn, soybean and silage data from the field. Summaries for several of the FIRST Harvest corn plots are listed by region below along with the site yield averages for that region. The remaining corn summaries will be included in the final Harvest Report newsletter next week. The 2008 Corn Edition Supplement with all of this year's data was mailed with the late November issue of Corn & Soybean Digest magazine.

To view the full reports for corn, soybeans or silage with the listing of each hybrid visit www.firstseedtests.com. Oil and protein data has recently been added to the individual soybean reports. The 2008 Soybean Edition Supplement will be mailed with the December issue of the magazine.

To find out more about how the harvest went, listen to the audio reports posted on the Web site. Audio interviews with the FIRST farm managers were updated weekly on the Web site during the last seven weeks of harvest. Direct links are listed for the FIRST audio interviews, as well as the FIRST videos, which explain more about the FIRST Seed Testing program. Click here for VIDEO or here for AUDIO.

Corn growers who use the No.1 seed-applied insecticide know that you’ve got to be aggressive if you want to get results. Poncho® seed-applied insecticide hits early season pests harder, protecting your corn and helping increase vigor, stands and yield.

Nothing packs more punch than Poncho. To find out more, visit this Web site.

Soybean growers should consider the power that one layer of seed-applied protection provides, and then think about what they can get from the six layers of protection in the Trilex® 6000 Soybean System.

When growers choose their varieties for 2009, they will benefit from protecting their seed investment from yield-robbing pests with the Trilex 6000 Soybean System.

The system provides the most advanced seed-applied treatment for soybeans, including: Trilex 2000, an in-can formulation of two powerful fungicides, Trilex and Allegiance® seed-applied fungicides; Yield Shield seed-applied biological fungicide; Celgard® 96487; Gaucho® seed-applied insecticide; and Pro-Ized Red Colorant in one seed treatment.

To find out more about starting off your soybean seed with one complete system, visit this Web site, or talk to your seed supplier or Bayer CropScience representative today.
