Harris To
Showcase IP-Based Video-Surveillance Demonstration at IBC
2008
Harris, an international communications and information technology
company, will provide a complete video-surveillance demonstration for
radio and TV stations interested in upgrading to IP-based security at
transmission facilities at ICB 2008 on September 12-16 in Amsterdam.
(Stand 7.G20, RAI Centre).
The demonstration, featuring the Harris Intraplex NetXpress
audio-over-IP platform, will show broadcasters and engineers how to
bolster security by taking advantage of a new Intraplex video module
that can be added to new or existing NetXpress systems at the studio or
transmitter sites. The complete solution allows engineers and studio
personnel to monitor the transmitter site from the studio with the same
NetXpress platform used to transport AES and analog audio, data and
voice from studio to transmitter. Both live surveillance and alarm-based
monitoring are possible using the NetXpress platform.
