Litepanels announces today it has signed an agreement to be acquired by
The Vitec Group. Litepanels is the market leader in light emitting diode
(LED) lighting systems for the television, broadcast, video, and film
industries. Its groundbreaking lighting products are a complementary
addition to the Vitec Group Broadcast Systems Division, which includes
such brands as Sachtler, Vinten, Autoscript, and Anton/Bauer.

Megahertz Broadcast Systems To
Unveil New DSNG Control Technology At IBC 2008
Megahertz Broadcast Systems Ltd (MHz), the respected UK-based
independent broadcast and digital media-systems integrator, will be
returning to the RAI Centre in Amsterdam in the Autumn for the IBC show,
the European broadcast community’s most important exhibition. From
Sept. 12 to 16, representatives from MHz and its North American parent
AZCAR will be welcoming IBC attendees to the company’s distinctive
two-tier stand at location F20, by the entrance to Hall 11.
This year, MHz’s specialists will be showcasing a new solution they
have developed in-house for the remote control of outside broadcast
vehicles via satellite. With the aid of a recently completed DSNG
vehicle on the stand, the team will be demonstrating the application
live at the show, controlling the internal systems of the vehicle from a
remote laptop.

The agenda has been announced for the 1st Annual IBC FCPUG SuperMeet to
be held Sunday, Sept. 14 in Amsterdam, The Netherlands at the Culture
Park Westergasfabriek, Gashouder as part of the giant trade show IBC
2008.
This event is expected to be the largest gathering of Final Cut Pro
users and digital filmmakers on the planet during IBC week. Scheduled to
appear, and this is subject to change, are: Paul Saccone, director of

Sledgehammer 3.6 Demonstration At IBC 2008
Maximum Throughput,developers of multiuser
media-management and editing applications and high-performance media
servers and storage solutions, will show the latest Sledgehammer V3.6
release and its built-in MAXmedia application at the International
Broadcasters Convention (IBC) in Amsterdam. Starting on Sept. 12, 2008,
Sledgehammer will be on display at Maximum Throughput’s IBC booth,
located within Hall 7, Stand J18.
The new release was introduced at the National Association of
Broadcasters (NAB) 2008 convention in April in Las Vegas. IBC will mark
the first public demonstration of the software outside of the Unied
States.
