close-up of jackpackThe revolutionary Canon XL H1 has a 3CCD system with native 16:9 CCD’s. Each 1/3” CCD has 1440 x 1080 pixels, resulting in high resolution, highly accurate color reproduction and a wide dynamic range. For pristine image quality, the XL H1 features a Canon 20x HD video lens along with a Professional JackPack. The JackPack offers HD-SDI output (SMPTE 292M) for uncompressed HD, as well as SMPTE Time Code input/output and Genlock synchronization for seamless multi-camera shoots. The XL H1 also offers the flexibility of recording in HDV.

For total control, the XL H1 features adjustable frame rates including 60i, 30F and 24F; the versatility to control every parameter of the image including: master color, setup level, master pedestal, gamma, and color matrixes.

Optional CONSOLE Software allows the XL H1 to be controlled and adjusted from a computer. It features waveform and vectorscope monitors for precise adjustments, and records video directly to a computer’s hard drive.
