CSI Debuts Pure Digital Fiberlink 7250 Series

Communications Specialties has debuted the new Pure Digital Fiberlink 7250 series all-digital fiber-optic system. The system digitally transmits RGB resolutions up to UXGA and stereo audio over two single-mode or multimode fibers. A unique design feature of the 7250 series allows the two fibers to be cross-connected—meaning that each fiber may be connected to either input on the receiver unit without affecting system operation. In addition, there may be up to a 65ft. difference in length between the two fibers.

The 7250 series is compatible with any display device that supports VGA, SVGA, XGA, WXGA, SXGA, SXGA+, and UXGA (640x480 up to 1600x1200), plus HDTV resolutions of 480p, 720p, 1080i, and 1080p (RGBHV format only). The system is ideal for use in applications requiring the most demanding high-resolution support, including weather and/or satellite imaging, military installations, medical imaging, and digital signage. more>>

Multidyne Expands RGB-5000 Series

The RGB-5000-ET RGB/UXGA fiber-optic transport system with Ethernet and data is the latest addition to the Multidyne RGB-5000 series. It allows users to distribute one high-resolution, RGB/UXGA Video signal with 10-BaseT Ethernet and RS-232, RS-422, or RS-485 bidirectional data. The RGB-5000 provides a jitter-free long-haul transport solution for high-quality, 1900x1600, RGB/UXGA via one fiber. Now the user can control the monitor or project from a remote distance. A high-resolution video signal, monitor remote control, and network data can now be transported via fiber cable for distances of 650ft. to 25 miles.

The RGB-5000 performs a horizontal genlock for fully synchronous and jitter-free high-resolution video transport. The system has been upgraded to support a higher-quality image at higher resolutions, such as 1600x1200. The video and synch jitter has been reduced to as low as 4ns to 5ns. The net result is a crystal clear image at all resolutions and refresh rates. more>>
