ALC Data Management manages this file and the new modeling program. NME recently transferred database development and list fulfillment services to LMAS, a service bureau specializing in analytical modeling services. NME generates data from direct mail and inbound telemarketing. Two types of modeling services are being offered, good customer match and response model. The customer match model involves matching customer records with DME's data to analyze variables to determine which variables are most likely to generate a predictable response. The response model scores response records to identify characteristics likely to generate a response from selected names in DME's file.
