Download Workplace Safety Standards
Workplace safety standards encompass a selection of programs, equipment, procedures and reports that would commonly apply across many occupations. ANSI has assembled a grouping not oriented especially to the manufacture or testing of products used to protect workers. Instead these standards apply to the worker and the employer making responsible decisions for their own safety and that of their coworkers.

In addition to searches by keyword or document number, you may want to check pages for laboratory safety, confined spaces, construction safety or others where specific standards are listed for those occupations. 4. Inspector Sees Employees Exposed to Cave-In Hazards, OSHA Launches Investigation

OSHA began an inspection Aug. 12 of Sunland Construction Inc. when an agency investigator noticed that the company had failed to provide a safe means of egress from a 5-foot-10-inch trench and protect workers from a cave-in hazard at a worksite in Newman, Georgia.
