Massachusetts Code Alert
The Massachusetts Board of Fire Prevention Regulations
(BFPR) has issued a notice of a public hearing to be held by the BFPR
at
the Department of Fire Services, State Road, Stow, Mass., on Dec. 9,
2010 at 1 p.m. for the purpose of hearing public comments on proposed
amendments to the Massachusetts Electrical Code (527 CMR 12.00),
including adoption of the 2011 NEC, with amendments. The proposal will
apply to all electrical installations within the Commonwealth and take
effect on Jan. 1, 2011.

Written comments regarding this proposed regulation may be forwarded to
the BFPR Code Administrator, Richard Freddette, P.O. Box 1025, State
Road, Stow, MA 01775 by 5 p.m. on Dec. 8, 2010.
