Electric Power Distribution Workshops
The Missouri University of Science and Technology (Missouri S&T), formerly University of Missouri-Rolla, in cooperation with Cooper Power Systems, offers a series of two- and three-day workshops on a broad range of topics related to electric power distribution. These topics span basic power system analysis to advanced treatments of overcurrent and overvoltage protection, as well as the application and protection of capacitors and transformers. The courses are taught by a combination of industry practitioners and academics. All courses feature highly polished workshop notes and PowerPoint presentations.
2010 schedule coming soon.

Cable Testing and Fault Location
This course covers medium-voltage cable design, construction and operation, and industry standards and procedures for testing. Understand the causes of cable failure and perform insulation resistance, dielectric strength tests, and results evaluation in labs. Includes fault location by time domain reflectometer, arc-reflection, and "thumper" methods.
