Become an AVO-Certified Medium Voltage Cable Technician in Just 12 Days

Electric Power Distribution Workshops
The Missouri University of Science and Technology (Missouri S&T), formerly University of Missouri-Rolla, in cooperation with Cooper Power Systems, offers a series of two- and three-day workshops on a broad range of topics related to electric power distribution. All courses feature highly polished workshop notes and PowerPoint presentations. These workshops are available for in-house or captive workshops.

Protective Relay Testing
The Protective Relay Testing program from Eaton Corp. will encompass classroom instruction and hands-on laboratory exercises, providing knowledge of basic relay principles and testing techniques. Focus is placed on testing relays based on the IEEE function. Training is scheduled for October 5-8 and will be conducted by experienced power systems engineers.

Lighting Fundamentals
Learn the fundamentals of architectural lighting from the comfort of your own office. This online course can be started at any time and completed on your own schedule. The class consists of six recorded web seminars (90 minutes each) and "weekly" lessons and assignments. After you view the recordings, you can ask questions via online forums and chat rooms, making for a truly interactive learning experience. Certified Solar Installer Training
The two-day course is a blend of classroom discussion and hands-on installation experience on simulated rooftops at the Sharp Training Centers. You'll follow a typical solar installation step-by-step from specification to completion, and receive a technical manual that will serve as a highly effective field reference. You'll be able to put your new skills to work immediately for residential grid-tie installations. Sessions, dates and locations will be announced periodically. State-licensed contractors who complete the course and pass Sharp's comprehensive exam will receive formal certification for installations. Non-licensed individuals may enroll but will not be formally certified.
