Electric Power Distribution Workshops
The Missouri University of Science and Technology (Missouri S&T), formerly University of Missouri-Rolla, in cooperation with Cooper Power Systems, offers a series of two- and three-day workshops on a broad range of topics related to electric power distribution. Cable Splicing and Terminating of Medium-Voltage Cables
This course covers medium-voltage cable types, components and design, safe use of splicing tools, proper cable preparation, installation, and handling techniques. Students will perform splicing and terminating using tape, shrink, and molded technologies, as well as DC dielectric testing in lab.

FR Garment Evaluation
This educational Webcast covers evaluating flame-resistant (FR) fabrics, from testing protocols to after-wash performance and shrinkage control. It also discusses various properties regarding the way a garment is manufactured that can affect wear life, including product consistency, construction techniques, and pattern sizing.

Circuit Breaker Maintenance, Low-Voltage (1,000V or Less)
This course covers components and maintenance requirements for power circuit breakers equipped with electro-mechanical and solid-state trip devices. Students will perform a complete circuit breaker service in lab: inspection, removal, disassembly, cleaning, tightening, reassembly, lubrication, and adjustment; use high-current test sets and perform contact resistance and meghometer testing; and read and interpret manufacturers' trip curves.

OSHA Electrical Safety-Related Work Practices
Designed for industrial or commercial personnel that work on or around voltages of 50V or higher.
