Coal Prep Special Announcement

Coal Prep Exhibition and Conference is proud to announce that the XVI International Coal Preparation Congress (ICPC) will be co-locating with Coal Prep 2010 in Lexington, Kentucky, April 25-29, 2010.   The International Coal Preparation Congress (ICPC) provides a forum for coal preparation professionals to meet on a quadrennial basis in rotating venues around the globe.   The ICPC will be hosted by the Coal Preparation Society of America (CPSA) and the International Organizing Committee (IOC).

This will be the first time the United States will be hosting the Congress since 1966.  It is an honor for the U.S. community of coal professionals for the U.S. to have been the chosen venue for 2010.  “Co-locating the two events, and supporting the National Organizing Committee of the ICPC, allows Coal Prep the opportunity to provide its full support to the Coal Processing community which we are proud to serve,” said Rita Ugianskis, Group Show Director of Coal Prep.

Coal Prep Show News

Coal Prep 2010 now has 202 exhibiting companies and the Exhibit Hall is 95% sold out.  Only 11 booth spaces remain available in the Main Hall.   With the co-location of the 16th International Coal Preparation Congress, this year Coal Prep will be holding a reception on the show floor on Monday from 5pm to 7pm which will bring increased international attendance to exhibiting companies on the show floor.   Exhibition space must be occupied by 3:00pm on Monday, April 26, 2010.  Exhibitor set-up time will end 2 hours earlier this year – at 3:00pm Monday instead of 5:00pm.

We have extended our Sunday move-in hours to give everyone more time to move in and prepare for the special networking reception with the ICPC international participants.  “This is an exciting time for the U.S. coal preparation vendor and supplier community who will have the opportunity to showcase their products, equipment, and technologies to a larger international audience,” said Sam Posa, Coal Prep’s Sales Manager.

Coal Prep Conference News

The conference program for the 2010 Coal Prep event will continue to be organized by the CPSA committee but its content will differ than in previous years to enable the ICPC event to cover the topics of importance to this event and the world-wide community it serves.  The Coal Prep conference program will continue to offer professional development hours along with many opportunities to network with peers, clients, and colleagues.  The workshops will cover an extensive-walk through of various technologies and equipment used in the coal preparation plant such as heavy medium vessels, heavy medium cyclones, spirals, floatation – conventional & column, dewatering, screening and operations. In 2011, the Coal Prep conference program will revert back to its usual format.
The Coal Prep 2010 conference program, organized by the Coal Prep Society of America (CPSA) will feature five workshops that cover an extensive-walk through of various technologies and equipment used in the coal preparation plant.  Visit the website for updated conference news as it becomes available:  www.coalprepshow.com, click on the conference tab.
