Pierce introduced its new Velocity and Impel chassis at the Fire-Rescue International show in Dallas. The new chassis are specifically designed to accommodate 2007 engines and feature improvements in five key areas — increased space, storage and clutter management, safety and visibility, seats and maintenance. Crimson Fire debuted its new Dakota rapid-response pumper at the International Association of Fire Chiefs Fire-Rescue International show. Ferrara Completes 2007 Cummins Installation Cummins has approved Ferrara's installation of 2007 EPA-certified ISM engines up to 500hp in the new Inferno chassis. The new configuration was displayed at Fire-Rescue International in Dallas. Los Angeles Evaluates Battalion Chief Vehicle
Los Angeles City Fire Department is evaluating a new command vehicle for its battalion chiefs. The vehicle features a compact rescue-style body that provides significantly more access and storage space than a traditional SUV. Recent Apparatus Deliveries Whenever a department writes the specifications for a new apparatus, part of the process should be to look at apparatus being delivered to other departments around the country.
