The concept continued after the advent of motorized apparatus, and some departments used it well into the 1970s. I gave lots of reasons why I think departments should do it, but I also know that there are many reasons why some departments think they shouldn't. I've heard a bunch of those reasons over the years, but most end up being more myth than fact. E-ONE Displays Roomier, Quieter Quest Cab The new Quest custom cab from E-ONE was on display at FDIC. It features a new look, more interior space and several other features. Pierce Receives Electronic Stability Control Certification Pierce Manufacturing received certification of the Electronic Stability Control from Meritor Wabco. ESC is available now and can be specified on Pierce pumpers, aerials, tankers and rescues. Wolverine Offers Low-Cost Tanker Wolverine Fire Apparatus now offers an opportunity to purchase a 2,000-gallon poly tanker on a rugged Kenworth chassis for a very affordable price. New Zealand Brigade Opens Up Most fire apparatus in New Zealand have large compartments with lots of roll-up doors.
