Four Injured When Engine Rolls Four firefighters in Texas received injuries when their engine left the road and rolled on the way to a house fire. Auto, Engine Collide An automobile slid into an oncoming fire engine on an icy highway in Missouri, causing the engine to go off the road and overturn. Firefighter Dies After Apparatus Strikes Trees A firefighter in North Carolina died when he lost control of the apparatus he was driving and it struck some trees and went off the road. Ladder Truck Kills Three in SUV A ladder truck in Maryland ran through a red light on the way to a call and hit an SUV, killing three occupants of the SUV. Apparatus News IAFC Urges Apparatus Safety Review The International Association of Fire Chiefs, in cooperation with the IAFC Safety, Health and Survival Section, urges fire departments to review their vehicle. American LaFrance Announces Temporary Furlough American LaFrance announced that in an effort to improve production flow, it temporarily furloughed up to 100 hourly production and salaried personnel.
