EVTCC Names Master Level Technicians
The Emergency Vehicle Technician Certification Commission announced that the following people recently have been certified or re-certified as master level technicians.


Firefighter Arrested After Tanker Rolls
A firefighter in New Mexico was arrested after the fire department tanker he was driving rolled over while making a turn. Both the driver and another occupant were injured.


Fire Officer Electrocuted in Aerial Platform
A fire captain was killed and three other firefighters were injured in Pennsylvania when the bucket of an aerial platform came too close to electrical wires.

American LaFrance Files for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy
American LaFrance LLC filed for relief under Chapter 11 of the U.S. bankruptcy code on Jan. 28. At that time, the company stated it would continue to operate its manufacturing facilities and provide repair services.


E-ONE Names New Dealer
E-ONE named Fire Service Inc. as its new dealer for northern and central Indiana, northern Illinois, and western Ohio.

Darley Wins DOD Prime Vendor Contract
W.S. Darley & Co. announced it has been awarded five major contracts from the Defense Supply Center Philadelphia. The award is potentially worth up to $4 billion over the next two to five years.


Havis-Shields Has New Computer Monitor Mounts
Havis-Shields introduced a new swing-out monitor base and a universal monitor mount for use with its line of center consoles used in many emergency vehicles.


Weldon Introduces V-LED Interior Light
The Weldon division of Akron Brass has introduced another apparatus lighting product based on the company's exclusive V-LED technology.
