integrates financial data for logistics
Logistics companies looking to integrate financial
data related to their transportation business into existing accounting
packages such as QuickBooks can uuse Transite Technology’s new My
Freight Portal-3PL. The software allows costs and profits for each
transaction to be managed easily, Transite said, while offering the
customers of 3PLs “full transportation process functionality.”

PrePass
adds Delaware
Truckers driving through Delaware can now take
advantage of the PrePass electronic preclearance system, as a new site
has been located on Route 301 near Middletown, DE. PrePass allows
qualified motor carriers to comply electronically with state-established
weight, safety and credential requirements, and therefore bypass
roadside inspection stations.

A new deal inked with Flying J Communications will
place Affiliated Computer Services’(ACS) truckstop scanning solution
in more than 525 locations throughout the U.S. TripPak Truck Stop
Scanning will now be available in all participating Flying J locations
under the five-year agreement.

The TMWSuite and TruckMate fleet-management software
programs now are able to interface with Carrier411 web services, TMW
Systems has announced.
Carrier411 enables brokers and shippers to qualify and monitor trucking
companies for insurance, operating authority, carrier safety ratings and
SafeStat scores.

sensors monitor tankers, tires
SkyBitz has released its Tank Activity Sensor to
monitor the status of tank product and identify possible theft or
unauthorized discharge of such product. The sensor monitors valves to
indicate if it has been opened.
The company has also made available its Tire Pressure Sensor for on-tire
pressure identification.
