Bendix acquires Vorad system from Eaton

Eaton Corp. has announced the sale of its Vorad (vehicle on-board radar) system to Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems LLC. The Vorad collision warning system is radar-based and used by commercial vehicle original equipment manufacturers, major trucking fleets and specialty vehicle manufacturers, Bendix said.

ATA does snow and ice accumulation study
The American Transportation Research Institute (ATRI), the research arm of the American Trucking Assns. (ATA), has completed a study on the effects of snow and ice accumulation on the top of vehicles and has called for a multi-stage plan to educate truck operators on the possible dangers.
