EIA
projects oil consumption to be steady, prices to rise by 2010

According to the early release of the Energy Information
Administration’s (EIA) Annual Energy Outlook 2009 (AEO2009), the
latest projections expect virtually no growth in U.S. oil consumption
for the first time in more than 20 years.

Navistar
begins EGR campaign
Navistar has launched the MaxxForce 2010 campaign, which it said is
aimed at clarifying the issues surrounding the different approaches for
meeting 2010 emissions regulations. Consisting of customer seminars,
public webinars and trade advertising, the campaign will address the
fuel economy, cost-of-ownership and operational impacts of NOx-reduction
systems, the OEM said.

Ryder System, Inc. has announced it has reached an agreement to
acquire the full-service truck leasing, commercial truck rental and
contract maintenance businesses of Edart Leasing Co. LLC. The
acquisition, subject to customary closing conditions, is expected to be
finalized this month.
