Mack,
Volvo will add OBD to 13L diesel first

Recently issued Federal rules requiring on-board diagnostics (OBD)
for heavy-duty diesel engines will be met with a combination of
existing sensors already in place and “a handful of new sensors,”
according to Steve Berry, director of government relations for Volvo
Powertrain North America, the subsidiary that builds engines for both
Mack Trucks and Volvo Trucks North America.

Holiday
sales down nearly 3%
Holiday 2008 sales declined 2.8% compared to the previous year,
according to the National Retail Federation (NRF), the first decline in
holiday sales since NRF started tracking the figures in
1995.

Freight offers A.M. delivery
FedEx Freight, the regional less-than-truckload (LTL) operating
company of FedEx Corp., has announced its new FedEx Freight A.M. will
offer delivery by 10:30 a.m. with a money-back guarantee. This will
