According to a national carrier survey conducted by Transport Capital Partners (TCP), 22% of carriers indicated they have given serious consideration to leaving the transportation industry or liquidating if tonnage does not increase in the next six months.

Honda adds hybrid Class 8 Pete to parts-center fleet
American Honda Motor Co. has added a Peterbilt Model 386 hybrid diesel-electric truck to its Alpharetta, GA parts-center fleet. The company uses Class 8 trucks to transport service parts between its parts centers and dealerships, with the fleet traveling about 300,000 miles per day, Honda said.

EPA grants for hybrids
