Study
touts benefits of truck stability systems

A new report from the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration
(FMCSA) and the American Trucking Research Institute (ATRI) says that
the benefits of using roll stability control systems (RSC) on commercial
vehicles over a period of five years outweighed the costs at every
efficacy rate and each vehicle miles traveled (VMT)
category.

Obama
officially ends cross-border trucking program
The cross-border trucking program, targeted for extinction by the
Obama administration, has been officially cut as the President signed
the Omnibus Appropriations Act of 2009, which contains a provision
preventing the Dept. of Transportation from funding the
program.
