$35 billion aerial tanker contract will be rebid

The Defense Department will reopen bidding on a contract to replace 179 Eisenhower-era aerial refueling planes, and the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) is calling on Secretary of Defense Robert Gates to ensure that the new round of bidding does not include any residual bias from the initial competition.
