Cuyahoga County invests in a
wide-area network for county buildings

Cuyahoga County, Ohio's largest county, has signed a five-year deal
with OneCommunity to develop and manage a wide-area network (WAN).
OneCommunity will provide Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP) and
Internet and wireless services in various county buildings. The company
also will oversee the county-owned private network, as well as necessary
security and hardware upgrades.

Florida EMS and fire vehicles will
stock cyanide antidote

Through a grant from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, the
Florida Department of Health's Office of Emergency Operations will stock
Cyanokit, a treatment for cyanide poisoning, in the state's emergency
medical service (EMS) and fire vehicles.

Historic Grant site gets another
touch of green

When President Ulysses S. Grant purchased several hundred acres of
Missouri land from his in-laws in the late 1800s, he had their former
home, known as White Haven, painted green. Today, the Ulysses S. Grant
National Historic Site near St. Louis is adding another touch of green
to the park where that home still stands.
