County officials will save some
trees with electronic documents deal

California county recorders soon will have fewer paper documents to
process, file and preserve. The California Electronic Recording
Transaction Network Authority (CeRTNA), which is a consortium of county
recorders in California, has inked a deal with Dallas-based Affiliated
Computer Services Inc. (ACS) in which the company will design, develop,
implement and support an electronic recording delivery system (ERDS) for
CeRTNA.
