Rental trade group: 'Pass an
infrastructure stimulus package now'

The American Rental Association (ARA), a Moline, Ill.-based trade
association, is urging Congress to produce an economic stimulus package
that boosts infrastructure spending. That spending, along with tax cuts,
will provide an important shot in the arm to the equipment rental
industry in the United States, according to ARA.

Food bank gets new hybrid
diesel-electric truck

Rush Truck Center in Tucson, Ariz., a part of Rush Enterprises, has
delivered one of the first Peterbilt production hybrid diesel-electric
trucks, a 2009 Model 335, to the Community Food Bank in Tucson. The
truck was delivered at a dedication ceremony in January.

Bumpy forecast for highway and
bridge construction

After three years of steady but modest growth, the U.S. highway and
bridge construction market is expected to flatten in 2009, as recent
increases in federal highway investment likely will be offset by
weakened state and local highway budgets, according to a forecast issued
by the American Road & Transportation Builders Association (ARTBA).
