Building a multi-application e-government network
infrastructure based on Gigabit Ethernet wireless bridges
The City of Temple, Texas faced a series of hurdles in making their
roadmap for new city-wide networked applications a reality. Not the
least of these challenges was overcoming the limitations of their aging,
ad hoc network backbone that was never designed to support these
emerging applications. Hear from Alan DeLoera, IT Director for the City
of Temple, how they spanned the city with a future-proof gigabit
wireless backbone to transport high-capacity, high-QoS voice, data, and
video traffic to enable emerging data access, public safety, disaster
recovery and security applications.
Join us on February 6, 2008 for this free online webinar offering an
in-depth look at how new gigabit point-to-point wireless solutions are
being deployed by government organizations to extend their fiber optic
metropolitan area networks to serve their geographically diverse user
bases.
In this session, you'll learn:
* How full gigabit backbone performance enables new e-government
applications
* How gigabit wireless technology addresses the cost and logistic issues
associated with fiber leasing and construction
* How network topology choices deliver very high levels of service
availability
* How gigabit wireless solutions
