BEEF magazine will host its third-annual BEEF Quality
Summit Nov. 6-7, 2008, at the Antlers Hilton in Colorado Springs, CO.
The theme of this year’s conference is “Quality – A Solution to
Rising Costs.” The BEEF Quality Summit provides attendees with
the opportunity to network with producers, vendors and others in the
industry, and to learn how to increase the value of their beef-cattle
production. Full conference details are available at www.beefconference.com.Cutterbars Deliver Trouble-Free Mowing New Holland’s new line of
Discbine mower-conditioners features the latest advances in disc
cutterbar technology: the MowMax modular cutterbar protected by ShockPro
disc-drive hubs. Standard on all of the company’s H7000 Series models,
these features provide a cleaner cut, reduced operating costs and less
downtime. The MowMax cutterbar is designed with individually sealed
disc-drive modules so if the mower hits an obstruction, damage is
contained within the module. The ShockPro hubs protect the cutterbar
drive. Visit www.newholland.com.Minimum-Tillage Disc Drill Amity Technology, LLC, has introduced the Air Double
Disc Drill. The Fargo, ND, company claims the minimum-tillage drill
provides excellent seed placement at higher field speeds.
“Individual-row depth control on the double-disc drill ensures
superior seed placement and uniform packing,” says Jack Oberlander,
manager of the company’s planting and seeding division. The drill is
available in 40’ and 45’ widths, with 6” or 6¾” row spacing.

Shock Protection For Mowers New Case IH cutting machines feature a shock protection
system that replaces the drive hub of discs with a shock hub, making
in-field repairs fast and easy. “This helps prevent time-robbing,
expensive field failures when an obstruction is encountered,” says a
company spokesperson. Shock hubs are standard on Case IH MD Series disc
mowers; DC Series disc mower-conditioners, previously known as the DCX
Series; RD Series mower-conditioner headers; and TD102 pull-type disc
mowers. Visit www.caseih.com.Product Controller Improves Spray Coverage Raven Industries’ Switch Pro
product controller, used with the Envizio Pro or Viper Pro field
computers, eliminates traditional cab consoles. The easy-to-use console
includes single product control for liquid or NH3, 10-boom section
control, a speed sense control and AccuBoom boom section control. Switch
Pro improves coverage while avoiding no-spray zones and previously
sprayed areas for chemical savings of up to 8% or more, according to the
company. Visit www.ravenprecision.com. |
