DFMs Effective In Controlling E. Coli
Race to the finish with Micro-Cell GOLD for cattle on distiller grains solubles, Micro-Cell LA for pathogen control and Micro-Cell PB for "hot" rations. Research conducted at NDSU showed a 32% reduction in fecal shedding of E. coli O157:H7 among steers treated with Lactobacillus Acidophilus BT1386 (the same product available in Micro-Cell GOLD and Micro-Cell LA). For a copy of the paper, email rmass@lallemand.com.

AgLand Industries' Macerator
The Macerator 6610 provides farmers with the equipment they need to produce higher-quality hay in less time. Maceration decreases drying time significantly by gently nicking the stem, resulting in more palatable hay with better color and nutrition. Four attachments are available: swath spreader, windrower, moldboard merger, and tedder. The unit has been tested on a wide variety of hays and grasses and has proved to be even more positive than was first anticipated. Visit www.aglandindustries.com.

Kverneland Taarup Launches Square Bale Wrappers
The 7124 tractor-mounted wrapper and the 7524 trailed self-loading wrapper are new from Kverneland Taarup. The wrappers can handle bales from 32” wide and from 24 to 40” high and up to a maximum length of 71”. The 7124C and 7524C models offer a fully automated, push-button wrapping process. A hydraulic cutter and remote control are part of the standard specification. Visit www.kvernelandgroup.com.

Award-Winning Bale Caddie Accumulator
The Bale Caddie Accumulator from Koyker Manufacturing Inc., a division of Sioux Steel Company, makes the haying of small square bales a one-person operation. The caddie is one of the winners of the recent Governor’s Giant Vision Awards. It accommodates balers with up to 100 strokes per minute output through a patented system that provides an incredibly short cycle time. It is frontend-loader and skid-steer adaptable. Visit www.koykermfg.com or call 800-456-1107.

High-Horsepower Massey Ferguson Tractors
Massey Ferguson’s 6400 and 7400 Series high-horsepower tractors with new generation Tier III engines burn cleaner and smarter for greater fuel efficiency. The Dyna-VT CVT transmission on the 7400 Series, ranging from 100 to 155 pto hp, and Dyna-6 transmission, ranging from 100 to 180 pto hp on the 6400 Series, deliver power and torque more efficiently and effectively in the field and in transit.
