Lexmark Printing Solution Builds on RFID Capability
Through a combination of its monochrome laser printing devices and radio frequency dentification (RFID) ultra high frequency (UHF) technology, Lexmark International, Inc. is introducing enhancements to its RFID solution, providing an alternative to track and access assets and information with real-time visibility. Lexmark was the first printer manufacturer to develop and bring to market a device that combines RFID technology with laser printing, the company says.

The final quarter of the year saw unprecedented volume declines which Drewry says are set to worsen in 2009, leaving the industry facing its toughest trading conditions since the inception of containerization in the 1960s.
