- YRC Regional and Logistics Profitable
A $293,000 profit at YRC Worldwide's YRC Regional group put it barely in
the black. Its logistics group posted a $6 million profit while the
consolidated results of all YRC Worldwide operations lost $117 million
in the third quarter.
- Hours of Service Under Review Again
The National Industrial Transportation League (NITL) reported that the
Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) will review driver
hours of service rules and issue a new notice of proposed rulemaking
(NPRM) within nine months.
- Truckload Demand In Line With Seasonal
Trends
The October 30th weekly proprietary Truckload Index showed demand and
capacity "mostly in line with seasonal trends," according to Morgan
Stanley.
