- Pacer Deal Offers Opportunity for Union
Pacific
Only 22% of transportation companies plan to increase hiring in the six
months to April 2010 says a study by Grant Thornton LLP. More than half
(59%) will reduce bonuses. At Dupré Logistics drivers will be paid
hourly instead of by the mile.
- More Door-to-Door Intermodal Says Pacer
Pacer International, Inc., an asset-light North American freight
transportation and logistics services provider, announced that it has
entered into new arrangements with Union Pacific Railroad (UP) that will
further accelerate Pacer’s transformation into a fully integrated,
door-to-door intermodal service provider.
