At NAB 2006, which takes place April 24 through 27 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, Harris Corporation's Broadcast Communications Division will introduce its FLEXSTAR HDX-FM exciter and FLEXSTAR BoostPro accessory for operating multiple transmitters from a single HDX-FM exciter. MORE

Linear Acoustic will debut its new range of TV audio processors at NAB 2006. The AEROMAX-TV digital television audio processor is a dynamics unit for 2-channel main and SAP audio with front panel display and controls, plus Ethernet remote control. NAB: NETIA Monitoring Software for Radio and TV Professionals
NETIA is launching a range of audio and video monitoring software for the radio and television markets at NAB 2006 (booth N3208). Chronos automatically captures audio and video feeds during a broadcast and offers real-time MPEG-4 encoding for video and MP3 or WAV encoding for audio. Its interface allows operators to view video data on demand. Users can retrieve playlists without interrupting the recording, and the system automatically archives and purges recorded files stored locally or on the network. MORE

ROCK 'n' ROLL HALL OF FAME 2006 INDUCTIONS
The sounds of jazz, rock, pop and punk blended together at the 21st annual Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony in New York City at the Waldorf Astoria. The inductees for 2006 were Black Sabbath, Blondie, Miles Davis, Lynyrd Skynyrd and the Sex Pistols. In addition, Herb Alpert and Jerry Moss, founders of A&M Records, were given the Lifetime Achievement Award in the Non-Performer category. MORE

CharterOak Microphones Used in Score for Ric Burns' Upcoming Documentary
Award-winning composer and producer Brian Keane recently completed the film score for Ric Burns' documentary about Eugene O'Neil using CharterOak SA538 vacuum-tube condenser microphone and SA538B dual-diaphragm vacuum-tube condenser microphone on strings, brass and winds.
