G.A.N.G. Extends Scholarship Application
Deadline
Due to the length of time required for registration procedures, the Game
Audio Network Guild (G.A.N.G.) has extended the deadline for submitting
a $10,000 scholarship application for game audio studies at the

Sweetwater Announces New Facility
Music technology retailer Sweetwater will move to a new
150,000-square-foot campus on 44 acres of land in Fort Wayne, Ind.

WSDG Designs Luny Tunes Studio Complex In San Juan
The Walters-Storyk Design Group's office in Argentina, led by Sergio
Molho, is overseeing the design and construction of Luny Tunes, a
nine-room recording/mastering complex to be built in San Juan, Puerto
Rico. In addition to nine studios, a mastering suite and a variety of
recreation areas, the new complex will also house the label's corporate
headquarters. Supervision of the project will be shared by WSDG´s

Recording Sessions at The Village
April was a busy month at The Village Recording Studios in West Los
Angeles, with numerous mixing, tracking and writing projects taking
place throughout the multi-room facility. MORE
Evanescence Records and Mixes New Album in Los Angeles
Evanescence recorded their sophomore album, The Open Door, in Los
Angeles at The Record Plant in early 2006 and mixed the album at Ocean
Way Studios in March 2006. Dave Fortman, whose credits include Mudvayne
and Bif Naked, produced the project. The album is due to be released by
Wind-Up Records on October 3, 2006. MORE
38 Greene Studios Helps Complete George Clooney's Documentary
Academy Award-winning actor George Clooney stopped into 38 Greene
Studios in New York City to put the finishing touches on a short
documentary he shot during a recent trip to the war-torn Darfur region
of Sudan. Clooney-along with his father, Nick, a former television news
anchor-took a 10-day trip to the region to document the atrocities

Indie Band Sutro Produces Debut In San Francisco Studios
Grammy Award-winning engineer Joe Chiccarelli and "iTunes Originals"
producer Gordon Brislawn worked on the debut EP from San Francisco
electronica trio Sutro, entitled How Things Transpire. The trio

Recent Projects at Threshold Mastering
New Orleans band The Subdudes chose Threshold Mastering in Los Angeles
to complete their latest album, Behind the Levee with Stephen
Marsh, Threshold's director of mastering. The album, produced by Keb'
Mo' and featuring the engineering talents of Mark Johnson, was recorded
in Louisiana just prior to the Hurricane Katrina disaster. The album is
