AMD, GRAND
OLE OPRY HARMONIZE AT CARNEGIE HALL
AMD and the Grand Ole Opry captured live performances in
mid-November at Carnegie Hall using AMD64 processors. The special
Carnegie Hall event commemorated the 80th anniversary of live Grand Ole
Opry broadcasts and featured performances by many top musical artists.

year, Audio-Technica has supported the Country Music Association Awards
by providing vocal and instrument microphones for its annual awards
show. Held November 15, 2005, at New York's Madison Square Garden, this

Audio-Technica microphones -- from backline vocal and instrument mics to

What Is, PRG Out With Jeopardy? When Sony Pictures
Television's Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy! leave their
respective studios to tape shows, PRG has provided gear and support for
both productions. During November, both shows will be airing episodes
that took place on the road. Jeopardy! taped a college tournament
at RBC Center in Raleigh, N.C., while Wheel of Fortune taped its

music lovers took to Hyde Park for a 10th anniversary of London's
end-of-summer celebration, Proms in the Park, which included
performances by the BBC Concert Orchestra, along with tenor Andrea
Bocelli, violinist Nicola Benedetti, pop vocal quartet G4 and special
guests soul-rockers Simply Red. This year's event also marked the debut
of a 96-cabinet, self-powered Meyer Sound system built around MILO and

NIGHT CLUB BRINGS MARTIN AUDIO
Rick's Cabaret-NYC occupies a three-story town house in
the heart of Manhattan with a sound system featuring Martin Audio
loudspeakers distributed through all three floors. MORE
Church Celebrates With Meyer Sound Celebrating its 175th
anniversary, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints held a
celebration in Utah at the 11,000-seat Dee Events Center basketball
arean at Weber State University. With a cast of more than 2,200
performing in-the-round on the arena floor, the challenge for sound
system provider Webb Audio Visual (Salt Lake City) was to mount a system
that could provide full, high-fidelity coverage to every seat without
spilling onto the stage area and causing feedback issues. MORE
Soma Club Installs Turbosound System Soma, a high-end
nightspot in the Astoria area of Queens (N.Y.), is hosting some of the
hottest acts in the New York metro area, as well as top DJs. The club
has recently installed a new high-end sound system built around
Turbosound models. Frank Garcia, owner of Mainline Pro Lighting, Sound
and Video (Flushing, N.Y.), the company that installed the sound system,
says a complement of four Turbosound models, each with distinct
capabilities, work together to deliver the kind of sound splash the

Carling Academy Brings in Soundcraft Soundcraft announced that
its MH3 console was spec'd for the opening of Carling Academy in
Newcastle, England. Academy music group's contractor Marquee Audio
brought in the MH3 as the center of a monitor setup. Since standardizing
on the 32-channel MH3 at the stage end, Marquee has also been specifying
