Richmond Sound Design Joins EtherSound Family
Richmond Sound Design Ltd. (www.richmondsounddesign.com/) is a new EtherSound
licensee. According to company founder Charlie Richmond, "EtherSound
technologies will enable us to expand on the capabilities of the
AudioBox while continuing to offer our customers solutions that operate
on standard Ethernet networks." EtherSound authorized implementor Lab X
Technologies will assist Richmond Sound Design in bringing
EtherSound-enabled products to market.
MC2 Audio Expands
Amplifier manufacturer MC2 Audio Ltd. has increased the size of its
production facility in Honiton, Devon, UK. The company has taken
possession of additional space adjacent to its existing factory to
refurbish and streamline the production line and increase capabilities.
As a result, MC2 Audio anticipates its production levels will grow by
100 percent within the next 12 months. MORE
Meyer Sound Invests in German Market
Meyer Sound is strengthening its investment in the German market by
applying more resources from the company's Berkeley, Calif., factory to
Germany. Meyer Sound has seen many recent large purchases of its MICA
and other products by German rental companies, convincing the company to
commit additional resources to Germany, including Western regional sales
manager Jim Sides, who will act as a liaison between the Berkeley
headquarters and Polch-based Meyer Sound Germany. MORE
Come for the Concert, Stay for the CD
Audio production company Floating Earth has hopped onto the "record the
show, sell the CD that night" bandwagon. The company used its new
Sound-to-Go service to record a Mozart concert given by Sir John Eliot
Gardiner and the English Baroque Soloists at London's Cadogan Hall.
Steve Long, Floating Earth's managing director, says the service has
been made possible because of the state-of-the-art recording technology
installed in Floating Earth's mobile truck. MORE

GAMH Brings
in KUDO
San Francisco-based Great American Music Hall recently
upgraded its front-of-house system with the addition of a new
L-Acoustics KUDO loudspeaker rig. Twin arrays, each comprised of five
KUDO boxes, now hang over the far-left and -right sides of the stage
directly above two stacks of three SB118 single-18-inch subs. MORE
Mondavi Upgrades With Lake
Four Lake Contour digital loudspeaker processors and one Lake Mesa Quad
EQ digital matrix processor have been installed in the Barbara K. and W.
Turrentine Jackson Hall at the Robert and Margrit Mondavi Center for the

Meyer Hangs Out at CSFAC
Established in 1936 by local benefactor Alice Bemis Taylor, the Colorado
Springs Fine Arts Center (CSFAC) houses a gallery, artistic and
theatrical teaching facilities, and a multi-use performance hall, which
underwent a major remodel this past summer. The center brought in audio

Midas Spec'd for Greenland Performing Arts Center
Midas' Danish distributor, Ascon Trading, has sold a Legend 3000 and a
Venice 240 console into the Katuaq Greenland, Greenland's primary
multipurpose arts center, built in the capital city of Nuuk in 1997 to
strengthen cultural life in the country. MORE
Harman At the Edge
Performing arts and convention center The Edge at the Aotea Centre in
Auckland will become New Zealand's first Harman HiQnet™
installation. The HiQnet system, featuring BSS and Crown components,
will form the foundation of the new paging and background music system.
